The Child Guidance Center is run by the Department of Social Services under\u00a0Ministry of Social Services and Social Welfare, Sri Lanka. <span class=\"ft\">Mrs. G. L. Leela Gunasinghe,\u00a0Superintendent of the center guided the delegates of the 22nd AFID. There\u00a0were delegates of Singapore, Japan, Bangladesh and Korea. This center primarily works with early intervention of persons with Intellectual Disabilities. These\u00a0services develop skills of persons with Intellectual Disabilities so that they can attend special education unit of government schools of Sri Lanka. The\u00a0Superintendent shared her inspirational story of how she got training from\u00a0<\/span>Japan International Cooperation Agency (<span class=\"ft\">JICA), which gave her idea about this Child Guidance Center. The center was proposed by her and is supported by the\u00a0\u00a0Department of Social Services of Sri Lanka.
