Moratuwa is\u00a018\u00a0km south of Colombo city centre. We visited Moratuwa as part of our visit to Sri Lanka this November. On our visit to Sri Lanka, we paid a visit to one of the institutions under Sisters of Charity. It was a fairly new establishment. It was established after the devastating catastrophe of Tsunami in 2004. \u00a0The people on the coastal region were badly affected by the\u00a0catastrophe. The most unfortunate were the unattended persons with intellectual disabilities. Sisters of Charity came forward and establishments in Moratuwa to help these unfortunate persons with intellectual disabilities.
