The Winford Centre for Children and Women works to support children and women with disabilities. Basirat also maintains a website which lists medical services, educational services for people with special needs. Alongside this, she also manages an online store <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/thewinfordcentreintl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/thewinfordcentreintl\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1563419886313000&amp;usg=AFQjCNEhvqXkSy2mNT-P5IvFBBChtg7Oag\">The Windford Centre International<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0with tools and materials for supporting individuals with disabilities.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Basirat is also an avid writer of books for children with special needs. She visits schools and reads these books to the children. She feels that sharing the book with children could potentially help their families as well as the children to be more accepting as well. in the dinner, she talked about the stigma, myths, and fears related to disability diagnoses, including there are many that believe that disabilities are contagious.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Johanna talked about the Therap software with Basirat. They are now planning for a day-long Therap workshop with special schools in Lagos.
