On <strong>April 21, 2026<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.therapglobal.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Therap Global<\/a> hosted an impactful online workshop titled \u201cDesigning Effective IEPs \u2013 Defining Goals and Mastering Data Collection.\u201d Led by Global Team Member <strong>Md. Tanvir Mahabub (Tanvir)<\/strong>, the session brought together over 70 attendees from across the globe, including participants from Bangladesh, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, and Trinidad and Tobago.<\/p>\n<p>We looked at how using digital tools makes IEPs more accurate and easier to track.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"color: #f7941d;font-weight: bold;margin-top: 30px !important;margin-bottom: 15px !important;text-align: left !important\">Moving Beyond the Paper: SMART Goals &amp; Structured Documentation<\/h4>\n<p>We kicked off the session with a deep dive into the philosophy of goal setting. The core takeaway was clear: an IEP is only as strong as its data. Tanvir emphasized that without SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound) goals, support from staff and educators can become inconsistent. Clear goals provide a roadmap, ensuring every member of a person\u2019s support team is moving in the same direction.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Putting Tools into Action: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.therapglobal.net\/individual-support-plan-isp-tool\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ISP<\/a> Modules and Templates:<\/strong> The workshop featured a practical demonstration of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.therapglobal.net\/individual-support-plan-isp-tool\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Individual Support Plan (ISP)<\/a> as a tool for tracking IEP goal progress. We showed participants how to:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc !important;padding-left: 30px !important;margin-top: 20px !important;margin-bottom: 25px !important\">\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 10px !important\">Document long-term objectives with ease.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 10px !important\">Break down complex goals into manageable milestones.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 10px !important\">Ensure that every task is linked back to the individual\u2019s overall progress.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left !important;margin-left: 0 !important;padding-left: 0 !important;margin-top: 30px !important\"><strong>Real-Time Data via the Therap Global Mobile App<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>One of the highlights was the demonstration of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.therapglobal.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Therap Global<\/a> Mobile App. In today\u2019s fast-paced environment, data collection shouldn&#8217;t be a chore. We showed how educators and providers can capture real-time data at the point of care, with the added capability of attaching photo and video evidence to provide a holistic view of an individual&#8217;s achievements.<\/p>\n<p><strong>An Interactive Global Dialogue: <\/strong>The session truly came alive during the Q&amp;A. With attendees from diverse backgrounds, the discussion covered a wide range of practical topics, including:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc !important;padding-left: 25px !important;margin-top: 20px !important;margin-bottom: 20px !important\">\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 10px !important\">Refining IEP goal language for different disability types.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 10px !important\">Therap System setup and the use of provider codes.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 10px !important\">Best practices for consistent progress tracking across large agencies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The Future is Here: AI-Powered Summarization<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Before closing, we were thrilled to share a sneak peek into the future of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.therapglobal.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Therap Global<\/a>. We announced our upcoming AI-Powered Summarization and Translation tools.
