Therap Global successfully organized 3rd Annual Information Session in Kathmandu, Nepal on March 28, 2019. Therap team members, along with other organizations from all over Nepal attended the session, which focused on the Persons with Disability (PWD) industry and how it can be improved digitally.
AutismCare Nepal Society (ACNS) attended the information session with its team. ACNS was founded in 2008, on the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day. It is the only active non-profit organization in Nepal, run by passionate parents and guardians to serve different services for children with autism to improve their condition. The Chairperson, Dr. Sunita Maleku Amatya was invited as a guest speaker, where she spoke about the PWD industry and shared her mission on empowering people with autism as well as utilize their skills to have inclusive participation in the society. Along with that, she also shared her perspective on digital documentation and how Therap Global is positively impacting their agency in electronically documenting information and activities of the individuals at ease.
Our second guest speaker from ACNS, Mr. Surendra Bajracharya (Chief Administrator) gave a presentation on how ACNS is providing services to their individuals and presented a documentary video on their organization. He also stated the challenges they face, such as internet issues while using Therap suite of applications. Afterward, Therap Global team and ACNS team members had a discussion on how to address the challenges encountered in electronically documenting information of Persons with Disabilities (PWD).
