DHAKA, Bangladesh, Apr. 23, 2015 – Therap Services has agreed to collaborate with Smiling Children Special School (SCSS) by signing a MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) to help improve the quality of service that is provided to the students and their special needs. The vision of Smiling Children Special School is to ensure equity and quality for the children with special needs to create a barrier free safe living and educational environment. To work towards this vision, they need to maintain extensive documentation, all of which are currently recorded and maintained using a paper based system. This collaboration is strictly a knowledge sharing arrangement, i.e. there is no financial involvement. SCSS staff will find the benefits of using software when they will be able to see that data is available in real time. The risk of losing or damaging paper forms is reduced when student records are securely stored on the web. Daily communication and reporting between administrators, health care professionals and families will also become seamless. On the other hand, it will help Therap staff gain practical knowledge of the intellectual disabilities and special needs industry in Bangladesh. This will result in designing a better product suited to the needs of the industry.
