Navjyoti Centre, a daycare, providing services to disabled children at Baluwatar, Kathmandu started Online Training with Therap. The collaboration started when Prattay Iqbal, International Business Development Executive and Ashiqur Rahman, Training & Implementation Specialist from Therap visited Nepal last September. They met with the Principal of Navjyoti Centre, Sister Lisa Perekkatt, SCN and other staffs of the facility. Based on the ability, the mentally handicapped students are given special education and vocational training at Navjyoti Centre.
The online training session started last week with tremendous enthusiasm. Therap is also delighted to have remote training sessions with their users. The session was a very fruitful and productive one. Both Navjyoti Centre and Therap hope to continue working together to improve services towards the People with Disabilities (PWD) to prepare them to be a part of an Inclusive society.
