Therap Global organized a successful 3rd Annual Therap Global Dhaka Conference on March 20, 2019. The theme of the conference was Enhancing Quality of Services for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) through Digital, Accessible and Secure Documentation. Around 120 people from various organizations providing services to Persons with Disabilities (PWD) attended the conference. Among the attendees, were Principals, Executive Board Members, Teachers, Therapist and some parents who are providing support to Persons with Disabilities (PWD). Both Therap users and potential Therap users from disability service providing agencies attended the conference with great interest. The conference was inaugurated by Maj. Gen. (Retd.) M. Shamim Chowdhury, Head of HR and Vital Assets of Therap (BD) Ltd. He expressed his gratitude towards the attendees and welcomed them. Later on Richard Robbins, CEO of Therap shared his visions about Therap Global. A team of experts from Therap US team also attended the conference. Among them, were Sarah Christiansen (Senior Training and Implementation Specialist), Stephanie Masters Norton (Senior Training & Implementation Specialist) and Gretchen Falk-Lanfear (Senior Training & Implementation Specialist). Ken Slavin (Business Development Director) also presented about his journey with Therap Global.

An inspiring session was conducted by Limia Dewan (Senior Programme Manager, BRAC Education Programme) and Farzana Faruq (Principal, Angels Care Foundation) about their mission and vision with Persons with Disabilities (PWD) and how Therap is being beneficial for their agencies to track and document all kinds of information about the individuals. Moreover, there were two-panel discussions conducted by Prattay Iqbal (Director – Business Development Asia, MENA & Africa Region) and Malisa Mahjabeen (Senior Training & Implementation Specialist), which included discussions about enhancing the quality of services for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) by using Therap software. After lunch, there were 3 concurrent sessions; one with the executive members of the agencies, another with teachers, therapists and direct service providers, followed by one to one session with the attendees. All the sessions were highly interactive and beneficial for the attendees.

Prattay Iqbal gave a potent speech about why Therap software is important for the executive members of an organization to monitor and track day to day activities. Ken Slavin also presented about how Therap Global is ensuring social inclusion and promoting inclusive education. There was a workshop on documenting the progress of the individuals in an easier way using Therap’s ISP module. This year’s top user agencies were Angels Care Foundation, Anuvob Buddhi Protibondhi and Autism School, and Blue Bird Special School.
