Effective documentation is key to delivering personalized, impactful care for neurodivergent individuals. On August 9, 2026, the Therap Global team visited Smile Autism Care in Mohammadpur, Dhaka, Bangladesh, for a focused, hands-on onsite training session. Led by Global Team Members Md. Asad Uzzaman Sazzad and Zaria Haque, the meeting brought together key agency leadership, including CEO Md. Arifur Rahman and Managing Director Ahsanul Haque Rony.
We explored how digital tools can streamline administrative workflows and improve progress tracking across multidisciplinary therapy services.
Moving Beyond Paper: Empowering Specialized Care
Smile Autism Care serves as a vital support system for children with autism and other neurodevelopmental needs. Supported by a dedicated team of 8 staff members, the center currently provides ongoing support to 35 students in addition to offering outpatient services. Their holistic approach encompasses a wide range of specialized therapeutic modalities, including Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Psychosocial Support, Play Therapy, Group Therapy, and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy.
To support this multi-faceted care model, leadership expressed a strong interest in adopting an online documentation solution to organize individual student profiles, maintain secure digital records, and efficiently measure progress across every therapy branch.
Putting Tools into Action: Account Setup, IDF, and ISP Modules
During the interactive session, the Therap Global team guided the Smile Autism Care leadership through foundational system features to kickstart their digital onboarding. This included completing the initial administrative setup of their Therap account, providing detailed training on capturing and centralizing essential profile data using the Individual Demographic Form (IDF), and introducing the Individual Support Plan (ISP) module as a tailored solution for defining goal benchmarks, documenting session notes, and tracking long-term outcomes across therapy sessions.
A Collaborative Vision for Future Growth
The session concluded with positive feedback and mutual optimism. Both Ahsanul Haque Rony and Md. Arifur Rahman expressed sincere appreciation for the training, highlighting how digital tracking will bring greater clarity and efficiency to their multidisciplinary programs. Looking ahead, the Smile Autism Care team expressed enthusiasm for exploring additional Therap Global modules to further elevate their care delivery and streamline staff reporting.
