Therap Global team members Prattay Iqbal, International Business Development Executive and Rahmeen Tarek, Marketing Operations Executive are in Indonesia, meeting service providers and agencies working with Persons with Disabilities (PWD). The country is full of majestic mountains and glorious temples and has a population of approximately 245 million, of which 4.45% of the people are registered with some form of disability. However, according to United Nations, the lack of electronic documentation has posed a challenge for providing adequate help and support to the individuals. Therap Global, the leader in providing electronic documentation solutions for organizations working with Persons with Disabilities has been working with organizations in Indonesia to help them improve the documentation process.
Prattay and Rahmeen are currently meeting organizations working with individuals with disabilities. On their first visit, they met BRSPDI Ciungwanara, one of the centers under Ministry of Social Affairs, The Republic of Indonesia (MoSA) located an hour away from Jakarta, with a perfect blend of culture and scenic beauty. They were given a tour of the facility, aside from day services, this center takes in 60 individuals for residential services each year. Therap Global team is very inspired by this visit as such visits allow the team to learn more about the needs of Persons with Disabilities in Indonesia.
