On January 1, 2017, ICT Division & Bangladesh Computer Council in association with Centre for Services and Information on Disability (CSID) organized a Job Fair for persons with disabilities (PWDs). Therap was invited to the event by Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) to attend this event. Ms. Saima Wazed Hossain, Chairperson, National Advisory committee on Autism and Mr. Zunaid Ahmed Palak, MP, Hon’ble State Minister for ICT Division attended the event as chief guests. It was a great opportunity for the employers who want to employ person with disabilities. The employers had a chance to meet the candidates personally and conduct interview sessions. There were drop boxes in place as well so that candidates can come in and drop their CVs. The job fair was insightful for Therap officials as they discussed with Mr. Khandaker Jahurul Alam, Executive Director of CSID, along with Mr. Iftekhar Ahmed, Head of Programme of CSID, about the employment scenario for the PWDs in Bangladesh.
