Society for the Welfare of the Intellectually Disabled (SWID) Bangladesh is country’s one of the first organizations who started working with the Persons with Intellectual Disability (PWD) in Bangladesh since 1977. SWID Bangladesh currently has more than 450 branches all over Bangladesh. Therap was yet again, delighted to visit the main branch of SWID Bangladesh, SWID Laboratory Model School on April 5, 2018.

A team of 9 members from Therap which included Therap USA personnel Joshua Corzantes, Senior Training and Implementation Specialist, Ishya “Shae” Dotson, State Implementation Specialist along with Quality Assurance professionals from Therap Bangladesh team visited SWID Laboratory Model School.

Jowaherul Islam Mamun, Secretary General of SWID Bangladesh, welcomed the Therap team warmly.

Therap team’s tour to SWID Laboratory Model School began with attending the morning assembly routine performed by the special children of SWID Laboratory Model School. Then the Therap team visited the class rooms of SWID Laboratory Model School and was privileged to see the activities and services provided to the special childrens in each classroom. The authority also arranged a short cultural program for Therap team where all the performances were performed by special childrens of SWID Laboratory Model School.

Currently over 100 branches of SWID Bangladesh uses Therap all over Bangladesh. Later on the day, Therap team had a discussion with SWID authority regarding the further implementation plan of Therap to more SWID branches.

Therap team expresses gratitude to authority of SWID Laboratory Model School for inviting Therap team to visit SWID laboratory Model School.
